Our mission is to share the Good of Jesus Christ, loving, faith and serving.
By the conclusion of 2015, District Bishop Alfred Mahlomola Mogwera (Former businessman) of the ALL Christians Church of Zion found himself bereft of a place of worship due to the prevalent struggles faced by many devout African Christians concerning detrimental spiritual practices and negative religious customs (1 Timothy 6:3-5). This predicament led to a schism and eventual dissolution of the church. Bishop Mogwera, choosing to uphold his integrity and avoid being perceived as a disruptor or opportunist, opted to part ways with the congregation. Though approached in private by members of the Diepkloof assembly, he graciously declined the proposition of forming a new church with them
Subsequent years were characterized by fervent prayers and apostolic endeavors conducted predominantly in his hometown of Diepkloof in Soweto and Johannesburg. Bishop Mogwera, who himself hailed from a background entrenched in ancestral worship, confronted this sensitive issue within African Apostolic churches across the nation, a challenge that persists and acts as a stumbling block for many spiritual congregations.
A verdict was reached to nurture and engage in prayer within the confines of homes. The younger generation and toddlers responded positively to this summons, often accompanying the Bishop during his visits to other churches, marking the inception of a new divine congregation.
Deliberations were held with several clergymen and Bishops regarding the amalgamation of efforts in establishing a new church. However, the pervasive influence of ancestral worship posed a formidable obstacle, with many being unprepared to embrace the true teachings of Christ sans these traditional practices. Concerns were raised over potential discord within the church, as the "old ways" had been ingrained in their teachings, potentially leading to a loss of credibility or mass exodus of congregants.
Despite multiple attempts by various church leaders to enlist Bishop Mogwera in their respective churches, the entrenched adherence to the "old African Apostle ways" impeded any consensus. In 2016, Bishop Mogwera was beckoned by Bishop Tshepo Hope Dibetle to join the South African Union Council of Independent Churches (SAUCIC), where discussions surrounding the African Apostolic Churches were perennial. Efforts were made to integrate the Apostolic Fraternal and churches, yet met with substantial resistance.
The prevailing scenario in certain South African Apostolic and Zionist churches involves a dilemma of spiritual perplexity, characterized by the practice of praying and worshiping the "angels" of the leader, as well as engaging in ancestral worship and rituals during church services. 1 Corinthians 14:33: For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints”
John 4:1 “Beloved, believe NOT every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of an-ti-christ,whereof ye have heard that it should come;and even now already is it in the world”
This complex situation is mostly exacerbated by resident prophets, prompting the church to undertake a mission aimed at imparting wisdom and understanding to congregants who are in pursuit of spiritual truth. .John 4:23-24”He said,But the hour cometh and now is,when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, for the Father seeketh such to worship Him”
We have a strong sense of community with parishioners.
